The purpose of this silent auction is to raise money towards funding scholarships to the winners of the 2016-2017 SUHSD Karangalan Scholarship.
Karangalan is a Tagalog word that means, “pride, dignity, and honor”.
The Sweetwater Educators Karangalan Scholarship, sponsored by the friends and family of the Filipino educators of the Sweetwater Union High School District (SUHSD), started in 2000. We award anywhere from $100 to $700 to outstanding Filipino-American high school senior students in the SUHSD who have demonstrated excellence in academics and community involvement. We fund raise year round in order to provide monetary support to our youth committed to furthering their education.
